India has a unique landscapes and forests which are diversed and different due to variation in terrain and altitudes. It consists of dense and hilly forest habitat. It also has some great plains and grasslands and some regions are true tropical rain forests. The upper reached of Himalayas marks sub-alpine, Rhododendron and alpine forests. The coasts marked the unique mangrove habitat. Desert of Kutch and Rajastahn marks dry habitat.
